About Leon

The Leon region is situated in the northwestern part of Nicaragua, dominated by the presence of the impressive Momotombo volcano. The volcanic ash-enriched soil provides a nutrient-dense foundation for coffee cultivation. The unique microclimate, influenced by both volcanic activity and proximity to the Pacific, contributes to a distinct maturation cycle for the coffee cherries. Leon is recognized for producing coffees with a substantial mouthfeel and a balance of bright citrus and stone fruit characteristics.
