About Nueva Segovia

The Nueva Segovia region, located in northern Nicaragua near the border with Honduras, is world-renowned for its high-quality coffee production, frequently yielding Cup of Excellence winners. The region is defined by the rugged Cordillera Dipilto-Jalapa, which provides the high altitudes and unique microclimates necessary for specialty coffee. Coffee here is grown in rich sandy loam soils and benefits from moderate rainfall, which allows for slow fruit maturation and complex flavor development. Nueva Segovia coffees are celebrated for their vibrant acidity, floral aromatics, and dense sweetness.
