Finca La Fantasía is located at an altitude of 1800 meters above sea level, which gives it ideal conditions for coffee cultivation. With an average temperature of 10 to 17°C and an annual rainfall of 1800 to 2000 millimeters, the coffee from this farm benefits from a perfect climate for its development. The soil of La Fantasía, composed of volcanic ash and a Franco-clayey texture, contributes unique characteristics to the coffee beans.
The wet milling process and sun drying guarantee the exceptional quality and flavor of each cup of La Fantasía coffee. The main coffee harvest takes place between the months of March and July, but you can also enjoy this delicious coffee all year round. Guillermo and Elsa, the owners, have explored new processes and harvesting techniques in specialty coffees, such as extended fermentation and anaerobic maceration. In addition to coffee production, La Fantasía is also dedicated to environmental protection, caring for and preserving 20 hectares of native forest with species such as oak, chachafruto, yarumo, aguacatillo, guadua, among others. Furthermore, the farm has 12 water sources that provide pure and crystalline water to the farm and nearby communities.
